Cooking Measurement Conversions
Browse by unit family. Conversions within volume or within weight are fixed; conversions between those families need an ingredient reference.
Start with the unit type
For cups, spoons, milliliters, liters, fluid ounces, pints, quarts, or gallons, choose a volume pair. For grams, kilograms, ordinary ounces, or pounds, choose a weight pair. If one side is volume and the other is weight, use the ingredient-aware group.

Metric and US volume
Move between metric volume and US kitchen measures.
Pints, quarts, and gallons

Grams, ounces, and pounds

US recipe context
Measuredish labels US customary cups, fluid ounces, pints, quarts, and gallons explicitly. Fluid ounces measure volume; ordinary ounces measure weight. Metric and Imperial look-alikes should not be substituted silently.
